FALL 2026 Auditions!
The Princeton Pianists Ensemble is opening up auditions for the fall semester!
Auditions for Fall 2026 will be held on Friday, September 11th, 2026 from 5 PM to 9 PM in Woolworth 105 and Saturday, September 12th, 2026 from 11 AM to 6 PM at Woolworth 102.
To audition, please prepare two selections:
SOLO: Anything for solo piano that showcases your musical and technical abilities (3-5 minutes).
This doesn't have to be classical music - you can do whatever you like (e.g. jazz improvisation). Feel free to bring an excerpt from a longer piece. Memorization is not required.
DUET: Either the Primo part or the Secondo part from one of the following piano duet excerpts:
Schubert - "Trout" IV. Theme and Variations
Gershwin - An American in Paris
Please listen to the pieces and choose a duet part that you will feel comfortable with and that will showcase your ability best. No pressure to choose the harder part! We are expecting that you will be familiar with your chosen part by the time of the audition, and we will be looking for musicality and adherence to the composer's wishes (tempo, articulation, character).
If you would like to audition, please fill out this form here and sign up through the calendar below. You may also elect to have a mock audition with a member (who will not be judging your actual audition) through the form. Mock auditions are a great opportunity to run through the audition process, get feedback, or answer any of your questions about the club. Please note if you are interested in a mock, you must indicate your preference by Sunday, September 6th.
