SPRING 2024 Auditions
The Princeton Pianists Ensemble is opening up auditions for the spring semester!
Auditions for Spring 2024 will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 8 AM to 2 PM at Woolworth 101.
To audition, please prepare two selections:
SOLO: Anything for solo piano that showcases your musical and technical abilities (3-5 minutes).
This doesn't have to be classical music - you can do whatever you like (e.g. jazz improvisation). Feel free to bring an excerpt from a longer piece. Memorization is not required.
DUET: Either the Primo part or the Secondo part from one of the following piano duet excerpts:
Debussy - Petite Suite, IV. Ballet
Mozart Sonata No. 5 in C Major
Please listen to the pieces and choose a duet part that you will feel comfortable with and that will showcase your ability best. No pressure to choose the harder part! We are expecting that you will be familiar with your chosen part by the time of the audition, and we will be looking for musicality and adherence to the composer's wishes (tempo, articulation, character).

You may also elect to have a mock audition with a member (who will not be judging your actual audition) through the form. Mock auditions are a great opportunity to run through the audition process, get feedback, or answer any of your questions about the club. Please note if you are interested in a mock, you must indicate your preference by Sat., Jan. 27.
